Marlène Pichler

Statement
Based on her current thoughts, readings and conversations, Marlène Pichler dives deep into a subject before and while allowing it to influence her digital image worlds on the screen. With the desire to make the immaterial tangible, she transfers the digital images into analog processes.
The group of works in the Kurioz Gallery deals with nostalgia. The inner childlike space – the safe space of the inner child, so to speak – makes itself visible, breaks apart and reassembles itself. As a child who grew up in the 90s and 00s, visitors can recognize pop culture from the turn of the millennium in some of the motifs and are invited to connect to their own inner spaces.
