Victor Zoller

Statement

Victor Zoller accompanied the renovation and conversion of the closed down and protected monument called Papieri, a former paper factory in Cham with his camera. He captured snapshots of the transformation during the rebuilding of the factory into lofts and studios from 2019 to 2021. His available light photographs play with light and shadow, surprising angles and exciting perspectives in the cleared-out halls and exposed structures of the Papieri. The 14 photographs shown in the Kurioz are an excerpt from 60 images in black and white and colour, which were exhibited last year in the Maschine 17, a new cultural venue in the very same rooms. The photographs are recorded in a catalogue.
