KURIOZ GALLERY – Discover Art in Zug
KURIOZ GALLERY is a distinctive place to discover art in Zug. Since 2024, the gallery has presented regularly changing exhibitions featuring artists from Zug and Central Switzerland.
The works are not displayed in a traditional, separate gallery space. Instead, they become part of KURIOZ BAR & KITCHEN, where art is integrated naturally throughout the restaurant and bar. This creates a distinctive setting that brings together art, gastronomy and personal encounters.
Contemporary Art and Exhibitions in Zug
KURIOZ GALLERY presents different artistic positions in painting, photography and other areas of contemporary art. The focus is on artists from Zug and Central Switzerland, whose works are exhibited at KURIOZ for several months at a time.
The changing art exhibitions in Zug offer space for a variety of artistic approaches and provide visitors with the opportunity to continually discover new works and new artists.
All exhibited works can be viewed during the opening hours of KURIOZ BAR & KITCHEN.

Since January 2024, the exhibitions at KURIOZ GALLERY have been organised and curated by Liane Janissen.
The German-Swiss artist has lived in Zug for many years and works from her studio in Cham. She studied Fine Arts at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf and, for almost 20 years, curated artconnection köln, an established charity exhibition presenting a changing selection of artists each year.
For KURIOZ GALLERY, she selects artists and works and brings them together in regularly changing exhibitions.
Artists from Zug and Central Switzerland
One of the main focuses of KURIOZ GALLERY is art from Zug and Central Switzerland. The gallery provides regional artists with a platform to present their work and introduces their art to a wider audience.
The exhibitions are not simply about displaying artworks. They are intended to create encounters, spark interest and establish new connections between artists and visitors.
In this way, KURIOZ GALLERY contributes to the visibility and diversity of the art scene in Zug.
Vernissages and Art Exhibitions in Zug
Each new exhibition opens with a public vernissage in Zug. The exhibiting artists are present in person, giving visitors the opportunity to learn more about their work and engage with them directly.
